While both share similarities in structure, the Nalukettu Veedu has its own architectural nuances, reflecting Kerala’s distinct traditions. This design allows for natural light, ventilation, and a seamless connection with the environment. The spacious interiors include a welcoming Poomukham (veranda), and Padippura (traditional entrance arch), adding to its old-world elegance.

Today, these homes stand as symbols of Kerala’s rich past, with many being restored as heritage homestays and cultural landmarks.
